A punk 7-inch should leave a listener wanting more, and that’s exactly what Lancaster PA’s Shitty Friends Crime Line does. With four songs finishing just around 5 minutes, you know exactly what you’re getting yourself into with the title opener: no frills or bullshit, just late 70s early 80s style hardcore punk.
Very reminiscent of early Circle Jerks and Western Addiction, with “Last Call” even reminding me a bit of later Exploited when they went more hardcore. You’re not going to find anything ground breaking or new with Shitty Friends, and that’s exactly what I love about this 7-inch. It’s refreshingly simple face smashing punk rock, and you should definitely pick this one up over at their bandcamp.
