Sometimes you listen to an album that just takes your face, and bashes it into a brick wall… in the (most loving way possible of course). The first time I listened to Ghostlimb’s Bearing and Distance, I was completely blown away by their thrashy/grindy as fuck, yet melodic hardcore.
On Bearing and Distance Ghostlimb brings a flavor of hardcore so furious, so rash, yet incredibly calculated. With shredding riffs, pissed vocals, breakneck rhythms… the music is incredibly pissed off, but with the melodic hooks you’re always brought back in before completely spinning out of control.
With 15 songs in 18 minutes, any fan of hardcore should pick this one up. I’ve been spinning it non-stop lately.
